Before Contacting the Hostel

**Step 2: Reverse image search the photos** Paste the hostel photos into Google Images. If the photos show up on multiple websites with different hostel names, they're likely stolen from a hotel listing.
**Step 3: Check Google Maps** Search the address on Google Maps. Does the building actually exist? Look at Street View if available. Check for reviews under the building's Google listing.
During Your Visit

- [ ] Ask to see the generator, does it start?
- [ ] Check for signs of damp/mould on walls
- [ ] Count the CCTV cameras
- [ ] Talk to 2–3 current residents privately
